Personal Background
Chris grew up in New Jersey and Connecticut and Chris graduated with honors from Ohio Wesleyan University in 1987 with a B.A. in History. While in college, Chris was inducted into the International History Honorary Society as well as the International Foreign Languages Honorary Society. Chris received his law degree from Creighton University School of Law in 1991. While in law school, Chris was a member of the Creighton Law Review and was an associate editor. He also published a case note in the Creighton Law Review.
Chris began his law practice in 1991 with an emphasis in litigation. He is a member of the Omaha Bar Association, Nebraska State Bar Association and in 2016, was inducted as a fellow of the Nebraska State Bar Association Foundation. He is licensed to practice law in the state and federal courts.
Chris is very active in the community. He was elected to the Omaha City Council from 2009 - 2021 and served as president from 2019 - 2021. He has served on the Douglas County, Nebraska Board of Health. He also serve on the Durham Museum Board from 2009 - 2021.
Chris has completed five full marathons many half marathons. He also enjoys bicycling, golfing and hunting. Chris and his wife, Jennifer, have two grown daughters.
